In these devices, output DC voltage can be controlled by using a semiconverter or fullconverter circuit.
The first category a single device should charge the batteries and
supply the load in parallel. In the second category, DC power
system consists of two independent Battery chargers and a
distribution panel. At a time only one device should be in service
and the other should be in standby state.
The control circuit doesn't permit two devices to work in parallel. The control system has been design to give the capability of manual and automatic selection of chargers. In the automatic mode, the chargers change their state every 24 hours. A microprocessor based electronic circuit fulfills all the control functions of the devices and a LCD panel gives the capability of programming device by operator, so the best algorithm could be selected for charging batteries .
